In a bizarre partnership that challenges conventional forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Strange Adventure Disclosed
According to the official statement, "A mysterious confrontation pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where rumors of prohibited ceremonies and fearsome metamorphoses resonate through the darkness." The plot introduces a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a hidden group.
The mission concentrates on "peculiar tests and a fearsome foe" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Changes
The preview showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview concludes with a striking sequence showing a character, presumably the hostage, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Items and Additional Material
Players who successfully complete the mission will receive an exclusive katana in addition to numerous items secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
